Take the image you want and crop it into an icon.
Riku's a bit too bright and yellow, so I'm going to tone it down a bit. Right click your base and duplicate it, then press [Shift + Ctrl + U] on the duplicated layer. Set the desaturated layer to Multiply 100%.
Now for some levels. Go to "Layer => New Adjustment Layer => Levels". Input the following settings to your settings. IP stands for Input and OP stand for Output.

Red: {IP: 0, 1.15, 225} {OP: 24, 255}
Green: {IP: 15, 0.94, 225} {OP: 16, 255}
Blue: {IP: 0, 1.05, 225} {OP: 12, 255}
Now he's a bit too red. Now go to Layer => New Adjustment Layer => Curves and set it to the settings provided below. The first number will be the Input and the second number will be the Output.

RGB: {38, 23} {113, 74} {210, 153}
Red: {85, 63} {135, 106} {198, 188}
Green: {89, 84} {142, 130}
The background needs to be a bit more black, so go to Layer => New Adjustment Layer => Brightness/Contrast.

Brightness: -2
Contrast: +2
Time to slightly color his skin. Go to Layer => New Adjustment Layer => Channel Mixer and set it to the settings provided below.

Red: +98, -12, -2, +1
Blue: 0, 0, +92, 0
Add this texture and set it to Screen 50%. I erased any parts of the texture that was covering Rikus' face.

Add this final lense flare and set it to Screen 100%. Again, erase any parts of the lense flare that is interfering with the face.
